Time to sow seeds whilst the sun shines…

We made use of the warmer weather today to make a start on sowing some seeds at our allotment. A trip to a local garden centre was first port of call, with potting compost a priority, as well as some additional seeds to replenish ones used last year. We selected some tomatoes, cape gooseberries and a few other packs – we always like a big selection to choose from when we sow seeds!

It was almost T-Shirt weather at the allotment, and quite toasty in the greenhouse. Hopefully a taste of a beautiful summer ahead! We settled down and between us, Linda and I managed to get trays of chillies, butternut squash, tomatoes and cape gooseberries sown. They’re tucked away in the greenhouse now, hopefully the weather will be kind to us now…
